  1. Definitely will have a talk during out meeting about the amount of force that is acceptable to be used in all kinds of different scenario's!
  2. Also to add, that this is not my opinion directly! I definitely think having more options as a gang drug and territory wise is definitely going to help. Also, it's fairly easy for one 'rotten apple' to ruin it for the rest, so please don't be afraid to continue your gang RP!
  3. Thank you to everyone who has taken their time to respond to the survey. It really helps us as a community to see what has to be changed and what are the positive things in the community that we want to keep promoting in the future. I will be going over each topic, highlight the positives and the negatives and 'respond' to some of the criticism where explanation is needed. 1. What do you think about police RP right now Officers are trying to end scenario's too quickly. Too quick to use lethal force or other 'tactics' like pitting, tazing and tackling that end role play scenario's. Officers are rather pretending it's an actual job rather than role playing a character. Bland or no character development. The feeling cops enjoying making sure you get caught, arrested or fined rather than making sure the scenario is enjoyable for all parties involved. There is a few officers that ruin it for other great role players. Yes there is bad scenario's, but there is also great quality role players inside of PD. 2. What do you think is/are the worst aspect(s) about PD right now Pursuits: Police driving with broken cars, pitting at unreasonable speeds and showing up with too many units Some of the officers take it 'too serious'. Not seeing it as 'role play' but more as an actual job preventing them to create fun scenario's for everyone Win mentality of officers Power gaming: using their 'mechanics' that come with the police job to their advantage to much, in scenario's where it's not needed. (example; drag, cuff and putting someone in vehicles) Radar radius is too far and clocking license plates 3. What do you think is/are the best aspect(s) about PD right now The officers that try to build relationships and more in-depth role play, rather than just being a officer. Some officers are really good at reading out situations and respond appropriately 4. What do you think could improve the RP from officers Building more relationships with civilians Trying to solve conflict by talking rather than ending the scenario by using lethal or 'power gaming' force to push a scenario their way Being more open to 'lose' a scenario. Stop the win mentality Better realistic driving. Not yeeting your car into vehicles at high speed. Not ending car pursuits as fast as possible, let it be dragged out. Being less harsh on misdemeanors or traffic stops Role play out their injuries better More training for officers so they can do their job better 5. How do you feel about the win mentality from cops Overall opinion seems to be that officers have a very high win mentality People who do not participate in criminal activities that much think it's an equal toss up between criminals and officer that both have an issue with taking a 'L' 6. How do you feel about the win mentality from civillians A lot of them are shit lords and are the ones that complain about the cops People who do not participate in criminal activities that much think it's an equal toss up between criminals and officer that both have an issue with taking a 'L' 7. What do you think about the current Department of Justice Lack of lawyers and judges Stacking charges makes jail time very unbearable Application is a bit redundant The District Attorney is to involved in police duties Fines are too high The idea and the possibilities with it are great The court role play is good, interactive and different 8. How do you feel about the way the jailing process is right now Need more activities inside of the jail Need more people role playing inside of the jail. Officers, EMS and prisoners need to work together to make the time more enjoyable. Without character selection the jailing time is very boring Reduced times made everything a lot better Being transported by a transport unit made it extra fun. 9. Are you holding back to do criminal stuff because of the current DOJ system? Few people have mentioned that they did, but since the jail time has been reduced they feel more comfortable doing criminal activities again. 10. What would you change about the current DOJ system? Hire more lawyers Hire more Judges Hire more DA / ADA Decrease prices of tickets 11. What do you think about the current supervisors in PD They should be in the city more often, more often than the 'regular' officers Some take things to personally, taking their role out of character, thinking they are better. They need to relax a little bit more. Some set a great example for the newer officers Amazing 12. Who are some cops you think have good RP and why I'm not posting the negative ones publicly all officers will be messaged directly T-8 J. Daggler Super helpful when I was putting in a CI report Everytime I have a RP scenario involving them its goes smoothly and ends up with no bad blood. Very fun to interact with. Even when I'm on the losing side of the scenario, they make it enjoyable to get locked up K-1 M. Tillman I love the way they handle situations and to be fair they make all the situations really fun for everyone. They have told me what i do wrong and what i can improve All of these people have gone with my crazy RP and whether I get caught or let go, it's always a great time and I love all these people. Also some of my favorite RPers period. It's because it's a GOOD time, I don't care whether I get put in prison or not, neither do they honestly. I think the cops that have been around for AWHILE have the best rp. There are to many to name but they will sit there and talk about stuff instead of just patrolling 24/7 which is great T-21 C. Miller I love the way they handle situations and to be fair they make all the situations really fun for everyone. They have told me what i do wrong and what i can improve Everytime I have a RP scenario involving them its goes smoothly and ends up with no bad blood. When I do something that’s criminal like and engage them with nothing but respect then they can be nice and hit me with lower fines and time. I had very positive experiences with .. Dont break rules/get emotional. He goes into extra like on a traffic stop I noticed he had a sound effect of pen writing down on paper whilst he had his notepad out. That’s great! Very fun to interact with. Even when I'm on the losing side of the scenario, they make it enjoyable to get locked up B-1 R. White I love the way they handle situations and to be fair they make all the situations really fun for everyone. They have told me what i do wrong and what i can improve especially White The guy who plays Rocco White is a great example of a player that is capable of playing the "hard-ass" cop stereotype without that being the ONLY aspect of the character's personality. Its a delicate balance and this guy pulls it off well. A-4 B. Cefus I love the way they handle situations and to be fair they make all the situations really fun for everyone. They have told me what i do wrong and what i can improve Can take a joke and i love his swole patrol In all seriousness Bo Cefus shows a lot of potential and takes his reports the extra mile I had very positive experiences with .. They roleplay more than just themselves, they put in effort to roleplay and don't mind taking an L, and don't boast when they take a W. V-1 B. Burr I love the way they handle situations and to be fair they make all the situations really fun for everyone. Everytime I have a RP scenario involving them its goes smoothly and ends up with no bad blood. They dont have that WIN mentality for the most part Was the first cop to arrest me and I had an awesome time, he let me fight some of my charges in processing, I had a lot of fun with him, while I was being process and during the pursuit, and he even let me feel like a got a win by changing the name of a charge(same fines and time) because my character was insistent on the change in exchange for a guilty plea, and he did so in a really funny way. They roleplay more than just themselves, they put in effort to roleplay and don't mind taking an L, and don't boast when they take a W. I think the cops that have been around for AWHILE have the best rp. There are to many to name but they will sit there and talk about stuff instead of just patrolling 24/7 which is great Hes good cause he dosent like instantly take you to jail and he talks about like my charcters problems like my fines and stuff and also most the cops rp is good C-1 J. Carter All of these people have gone with my crazy RP and whether I get caught or let go, it's always a great time and I love all these people. Also some of my favorite RPers period. It's because it's a GOOD time, I don't care whether I get put in prison or not, neither do they honestly. They always make things interesting and talk shit back when you talk shit to them and don't get offended. They also could care less if they lose in the RP Very fun to interact with. Even when I'm on the losing side of the scenario, they make it enjoyable to get locked up D-1 S. Davis All of these people have gone with my crazy RP and whether I get caught or let go, it's always a great time and I love all these people. Also some of my favorite RPers period. Bennet All of these people have gone with my crazy RP and whether I get caught or let go, it's always a great time and I love all these people. Also some of my favorite RPers period. It's because it's a GOOD time, I don't care whether I get put in prison or not, neither do they honestly. He has some moments where he gets a little into the "win" mindset during the pursuit/arrest phase, but he is awesome during processing and really has a character that mine has good chemistry with. Interact pretty well with most people and have fun with everyone while still doing what they have to do. they're all usually pretty fair and dont always have such a hard on to sentence people for crazy time unless they have to Very fun to interact with. Even when I'm on the losing side of the scenario, they make it enjoyable to get locked up T-6 J. Socket Everytime I have a RP scenario involving them its goes smoothly and ends up with no bad blood. when I do something that’s criminal like and engage them with nothing but respect then they can be nice and hit me with lower fines and time. He isn't afraid to lose an rp scene or an arrest. he actually rp's out his injuries and is over all fun to be around and good at his job. yes sometimes he does stuff a cop shouldn't do but its all in good rp . and i have nothing but respect for him. because he risks his job for good rp. something some cops are afraid to do it because they dont know if it will actually effect them or no. Is a great and chill cop. They always make things interesting and talk shit back when you talk shit to them and don't get offended. They also could care less if they lose in the RP Interact pretty well with most people and have fun with everyone while still doing what they have to do. they're all usually pretty fair and dont always have such a hard on to sentence people for crazy time unless they have to I think Socket has amazing RP because he will play along with scenarios instead of shutting them down instantly. He knows how to get his job done as a cop while still appreciating the storylines of those on the other side of the law. C-5 C. Lover Everytime I have a RP scenario involving them its goes smoothly and ends up with no bad blood. The guy who plays Cassius Lover has great RP. His character is reactive and actually pays attention to the scene around him. He carries on thoughts and emotions from previous RP scenarios and seems like an all-around interesting character. Bigson (ex police officer) Bigson and only bigson that I have interacted with. They dont have that WIN mentality for the most part The only cop I have personally witnessed to have any sort of good RP is the person behind John Bigson. He makes effort to have both a civilian life and a cop life on the same character and is interested in building story. Very fun to interact with. Even when I'm on the losing side of the scenario, they make it enjoyable to get locked up C-4 J. Shepard Shepherd is my favourite cop in the city. He has never done anything un legit around me and is always great fun to talk to. When I got pulled over by him he stuck to all the correct rules and gave me the correct ticket. Is very fun and takes his job seriously He always Rps when hes shot S-2 M. Cage Talks as if he has experience in the situation They dont have that WIN mentality for the most part Dont break rules/get emotional. T-3 D. Maze Is very professional T-10 B. Felts He was good with playing to win and switching to fun when the time was right. Very fun to interact with. Even when I'm on the losing side of the scenario, they make it enjoyable to get locked up V. Blackwood (ex police officer) I had very positive experiences with .. T -14 B. Wood They roleplay more than just themselves, they put in effort to roleplay and don't mind taking an L, and don't boast when they take a W. They always make things interesting and talk shit back when you talk shit to them and don't get offended. They also could care less if they lose in the RP Matt's favorite cop Interact pretty well with most people and have fun with everyone while still doing what they have to do. they're all usually pretty fair and dont always have such a hard on to sentence people for crazy time unless they have to T-18 A. Wells They roleplay more than just themselves, they put in effort to roleplay and don't mind taking an L, and don't boast when they take a W. S-3 J. Musk I think the cops that have been around for AWHILE have the best rp. There are to many to name but they will sit there and talk about stuff instead of just patrolling 24/7 which is great S-1 N. Hunter Because they always get involved with the rp situation and as much as people may say stuff about zod he is one of the best at rp in the force They always make things interesting and talk shit back when you talk shit to them and don't get offended. They also could care less if they lose in the RP Act like real respectful cop trying to make a change T-12 Z. Raod Because they always get involved with the rp situation and as much as people may say stuff about zod he is one of the best at rp in the force T-13 K. Giroux Interact pretty well with most people and have fun with everyone while still doing what they have to do. they're all usually pretty fair and dont always have such a hard on to sentence people for crazy time unless they have to T-19 M. Howells Interact pretty well with most people and have fun with everyone while still doing what they have to do. they're all usually pretty fair and dont always have such a hard on to sentence people for crazy time unless they have to C-2 B. Maverick Very fun to interact with. Even when I'm on the losing side of the scenario, they make it enjoyable to get locked up A-2 T. Pastrana Very fun to interact with. Even when I'm on the losing side of the scenario, they make it enjoyable to get locked up 13. What are some changes you would like to see in PD Stop giving 'friends' special treatment when they get caught by the police Change the way they train people, more often and more in-depth Add attempted- charges Roleplay > Ruleplay More in-character accountability, consequences for their actions by example demotions or getting fired More European cops 14. Do you feel like admins are getting too involved with PD related scenario's / favorite cops? In general people feel like admins get to involved with police-related issues and feel like they don't wait until it's RPed out Judging by the comments there is a 50/50 tossup between feeling like they are very fair and leaning towards favoring police officers 15. Rating This is the average of the rating (- the obvious troll ones) SASP: 7.3 Department of Justice: 5.7 16. How do you feel civilians interact with cops Also civilians have win mentality Some civilians are very aggressive, can't have normal conversations, result into 'gun play' A lot of civilians seem to hate the cops and role play very negatively with them but then are also surprised when they get locked up in jail for longer times The current gangs, most of them, are really bad at roleplaying. Lot's of them are afraid to roleplay because they are afraid admins will jump on them. 17. How can civilians improve their roleplay with cops? Not be afraid to create a larger variety of roleplay styles Not to be afraid to take a 'L' Less gun-play Not everyone has to be a gangster or a druglord There is a few things that I've seen come back into this survey a lot and I react briefly to those topics. All negatives and positives will also be talked about with the Police Department and Department of Justice and we'll make sure that we are going to make changes to improve the overall roleplay of the server. Win mentality A lot of people have complaints about officers having a hard time creating a fun scenario and rather get 'it over with' and arrest you with minimal roleplay. Treating it as a job rather than what could be a fun interaction. Within that you also mention that they abuse their powers, for example: Drag function Getting dragged with no warning to stop you from running or being in a specific place Getting dragged in the water to catch you Drag function should be used properly and with either /me's or verbal warnings. Just grabbing someone out of no where is considered bad roleplay and we will make sure we will inform the officers of this once again in the police meeting Getting dragged out of the water is the only way for officers to 'grab' you in the water. Guns are lethal, tazers are lethal under water, batons etc don't work underwater, tackle does not function under water. So if you decide to 'escape' in the water, that's the only option for officers to be able to grab you. Cuff function Getting cuffed without a warning Getting hard cuffed so you can't move anymore Not being able to uncuff yourself after you ran away from the cops Getting cuffed while you're facing the officer Officers should cuff you when the situation is reasonable, for example, when you're faced away and being detained. Whenever an officer cuffs you they should have the intention to continue the role play and not let you sit there for minutes on end without talking. Currently we don't have the mechanics in the game to uncuff yourself. But if you roleplay out that you escaped, try to 'unlock' your cuffs you can put in a /report and an admin can try to uncuff instead. Tackle The tackle animation is 'OP' and you can tackle someone from miles away The tackle animation is stupid, the range is extremely op indeed and we're looking for an alternative, even where civilians also can tackle. Woo! We will make sure to let officers know in the meeting what is acceptable to tackle and what is not. Pitting / driving style of officers Slamming their cars at high speeds, disabling your vehicle and ending the chase Driving their car while it looks like a mushed potato Officers should not use their vehicles as weapons unless absolutely necessary, example: you are an immediate threat to everyone else around you. During training they get taught when to and when not too, we will again point this out during the meeting we will have with pd. If you ever feel like an officer used excessive force, please sue them, complain about them to their superiors, get them in trouble. There is so much fun conflict RP to be had. Using lethal force Taking out their weapon to quickly and shooting in scenario's when it's not needed Officers overpowering a situation by using AR's when the suspects are using pistols Shooting should always be a last resort and we will mention also this during our meeting. Extending the roleplay and making it fair for everyone is important. If you ever feel like an officer used excessive force, please sue them, complain about them to their superiors, get them in trouble. There is so much fun conflict RP to be had. When we are talking about win mentality, this also comes back with all civilians. Both police officers and civilians are responsible for their scenario. The amount of tickets we get for very small incidents that could be roleplayed out is very high. Yes, the officer should maybe not have done this. Yes, the civilian should maybe not have done that. In the end it's roleplay, it's not about winning and it takes atleast two people, on both sides, to make a scenario equally enjoyable. If you're applying to be an officer, just for the sole reason to get as many people in jail - that's bad roleplay If you're playing a criminal character with only making as much money and getting away as fast as possible in mind - that's bad roleplay Obviously, most of this is subjective, what bad roleplay means to me is different from everyone else, but when reading the survey I think there is a common opinion about this. Win mentality comes from both sides and both sides need to work on this. Thank you everyone for your feedback, We will post an update once we've looked into the 'organisation' of some of the other issues that are needed rule, development and department wise.\ If you have any other questions or complaints feel free to make a ticket! Also feel free to have an open discussion in the reactions on this topic!
